On July 13 – 15, 2016, at The Ambassador Hotel Bangkok, Sukhumvit 11 Road, Bangkok, Department of Health, Ministry of Public Health organized the annual conference on reproductive health, with the theme of “Reproductive Health: the new perspective.”

The event is the fifth conference arranged with the aim to provide a learning forum on reproductive health, to disseminate scholarly works and innovations as well as to create a network of technical cooperation among partners working in public health both inside and outside of the Department of Health, at all levels.

In terms of the learning forum, several seminars on interesting subjects were arranged, including “Unintended Pregnancy: the way out or dead end?,” “Benefits and the Population Quality,” “Population Development and Reproductive Health,” and “Migrant Workers: the challenges of Thai society.”

In this occasion, UNFPA Thailand also participated in the learning forum on two sessions, namely “From MDGs to SDGs …,” and “The Act for Prevention and Solution of the Adolescent Pregnancy Problem: the making-of.” UNFPA Thailand also joined as an exhibitor with a booth to hand out pamphlets throughout the event to the participants who are from the public health sector and give information about the online resource, www.3c4teen.org, the learning platform which is funded by UNFPA Thailand.
