On July 24 – 25, 2016, at Pak Ping Ing Tang Boutique Hotel, Nonthaburi, 18 young advocates as representatives from 11 youth groups gathered to discuss the cause of teenage pregnancy.

From this conference, the young participants had a chance to learn and understand — through learner-centered activities that focus on the learners to be proactive in learning — the meaning and influence of beliefs about the gender role and the use of power in our society that affects sexuality and sexual health.

After that, they, together, presented some remedial solutions their points of view with the analysis of The Act for Prevention and Solution of the Adolescent Pregnancy Problem B.E. 2559 (2016) which is about to be in effect from July 29 onwards.

The preventive and remedial approaches for teen pregnancy issue discussed in this forum will also present at the press conference on ” The Act for Prevention and Solution of the Adolescent Pregnancy: will our children and youth benefit from it?”. The event arranged on July 27, 2016, at the Department of Health, Ministry of Public Health.

This forum hosted by a collaboration of Women’s Health Advocacy Foundation and UNFPA Thailand.
